The Milwaukee Bucks are in free fall, having dropped three straight games. Their latest setback was a lopsided 119–101 road loss to the San Antonio Spurs, a game that effectively ended in the third quarter. San Antonio poured in 40 points in that period, opening up a staggering 37-point lead and sending Milwaukee into a complete collapse. Only Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bobby Portis and Kyle Kuzma managed to reach double figures for the Bucks.

What makes the skid more alarming is the context. Milwaukee previously lost to the Timberwolves and Nuggets, both of whom were shorthanded—Minnesota without Anthony Edwards, and Denver missing Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray. Those defeats underline just how fragile the Bucks currently look, with the team showing clear signs of systemic breakdown.

The Atlanta Hawks are also coming off a heavy loss, falling 132–106 on the road against the Boston Celtics. Dyson Daniels missed the game with a right ankle sprain, while newly acquired CJ McCollum was inserted into the starting lineup but failed to shift the momentum. The game unraveled in the second quarter, where Atlanta was outscored 52–28, allowing Boston to shoot an absurd 76% from two-point range and 73% from beyond the arc. From that point on, the Hawks were never able to recover.

While both teams are licking their wounds, Atlanta’s situation appears slightly more manageable. The Hawks are a young team with known defensive flaws, but their struggles are less alarming than Milwaukee’s. The Bucks, meanwhile, seem directionless, with management scrambling to find trade help for Giannis while the team’s on-court performance continues to deteriorate.

In short, there is little reason to trust Milwaukee right now.
