Gambling blocking application Gamban has announced that it is launching a dedicated Discord server in partnership with Danish esports organisation ECSTATIC.

Named the ‘Gamban Hub’, the Discord serves as a space for those affected by gambling harm to meet up, socialise, game, and more.

The server expands upon the already established partnership between Gamban and ECSTATIC announced last September. This marked the first time an esports team featured an anti-gambling company as its main sponsor.

In a release, Gamban shared how Discord has become a popular space for gaming and esports fans, and so seeks to ‘meet them where they are’ in a more casual setting as opposed to ‘formal or clinical.’

Jack Symons, Gamban Founder, commented on the new project: “Together with our friends at ECSTATIC, we’re excited to open the Gamban Hub on Discord to everyone. Supported by dedicated volunteers, the Hub is designed as a safe, welcoming space to connect and play.

“For me, the hope is that the Hub brings a wholesome community into gaming, helping fill the space that gambling might otherwise occupy. Whether you’ve struggled with gambling in the past, want to connect with others or want to keep gaming fun, come join us.”

The server features several channels that will be overseen by moderators. These include General for casual discussions, My Story for sharing recovery stories, Forum for creating new topic threads, Gaming for chat about games or organising play sessions, and Events where live sessions will be held with ECSTATIC, Gamban, and leading experts in gambling addiction.

ECSTATIC fans and other interested users can join the Discord server after answering a few safety questions.

ECSTATIC in Esports

The server is the latest endeavour brought on by the partnership between Gamban and ECSTATIC, a Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) team that has competed in the scene since 2018, back in the Global Offensive era.

When the organisation was founded, it was originally known as Lyngby Vikings in association with the Danish football club Lyngby Boldklub before rebranding in 2021.

Recently, ECSTATIC replaced Imperial Esports at BLAST Bounty Season 1 2026 Closed Qualifier, the first Tier 1 event of the season. However, the team ultimately failed to reach the top eight, missing out on the LAN finals after losing 0-2 to Team Falcons. It has since competed in the CCT Season 3 European Series and the NODWIN Clutch Series.
